The Storm on Back to School Day!

Today I was back in school! It was a long winter break and the first thing I noticed that was different was that I was very tired! I had slept in for 2 and a half weeks! I got to school and I went to read. I loved to read because it was entertaining and I could also get smarter!

    When I was in math class, I saw that the sky got darker and darker! Suddenly, I heard a big WHOOSH and I heard heavy rain pounding on the windows and roof. Our class was interrupted because the rain was making such a loud sound. Leaves were blowing around outside as we stared outside in shock.

    Five minutes later, we resumed class because the rain wasn’t pounding on the roof that hard anymore. That was creepy! I thought.

    I was hoping for the rain to stop during Word Study so we would get outdoor recess. The rain was pretty heavy for most of Word Study. I noticed that the sky was getting brighter and brighter. I was thinking that we would get outdoor recess when I saw a endless line of dark rainy clouds in the distance.

    My teacher checked the weather forecast and told us that we had to have indoor recess due to storms. I was drawing when the sky got dark again and it started pouring again!!! The wind screamed and moaned outside as the rain got harder than ever. We would be so unlucky if we were to be outside!

Playing tag at reccess!

     Today, during recess, I played tag! You might think this topic is boring, but it is totally the opposite!!!

    First of all, this is not normal tag. This is infection tag! The last one to be tagged wins! We picked who we wanted to start by being it and we all ran!!! The person who was it counted to 5 and during that time, we got to get a head start!

    We all ran to a playground and waited. We were just relaxing when the tagger who was called Ash came. I quickly climbed up an obstacle while I watched the other people run. 

    Ash didn’t even notice me on the obstacle and he just ran after the others. I just sat on the obstacle and waited for everyone to get tagged.

     A few minutes later, Ash finally noticed me sitting on the obstacle and he chased me. I saw my chance and jumped strait off the obstacle and sprinted for my life.

       I was one of the two people who were still not it. I was slightly faster than Ash so I got away. What I didn’t know was that several people who were it hid behind trees and bushes. They jumped out suddenly and started to slowly close in on me. I ran one way and suddenly stopped, which caused some of the taggers to stagger and fall, and I ran for it.

     After a while of chasing me, they gave up because I was too fast. They ended up finding the other person who was not it and tagged him. I had won!

Playing Tag at Recess (Again)

    Today, I played tag at recess! (Again.) But this time I set a record for my whole grade. I walked around the playground quietly. Then, I got this feeling that someone was watching me. I looked around, and one of my friends jumped out from behind and obstacle at me. I did not even have time to look at who it was and I took off. I turned suddenly and lost the tagger. My heart beat heavily and quickly. I had learned a lesson. I had to be more aware of my surroundings.

    Five minutes later, I was suddenly cornered in a tiny corner by three people! Two of the people were not that fast, but one of them was a very fast runner. I started to panic, but I remembered that I was really good at juking people (which means that you are very good at tricking people when running by making sudden moves and fake moves) and I was a very fast runner. First, I went to the left. Next I did a sudden stop and quickly ran to the right. By that time, My heart was pounding and I was sweating hard. I did a fake move and sprinted for the right, which by that time, had an open spot to run through. I had escaped! I then went on to win the round.

    On the next round, I found myself cornered in the same corner by the same three people! I did a very risky move and slipped away by a fraction of an inch running for the left side. Around three minutes later, I was the second last still not tagged and I was cornered this time by five people! I was charged at by my friend Kaveer, but I dodged it. Then, I juked my other friend Naveen so hard that he fell on his butt! I saw my chance and sprinted away from the taggers towards the playground entrance. Somebody jumped into view and blocked it, so I sprinted another way towards a narrow slip of play area. That place was where many people get tagged easily, but at least I hoped that I would stay untagged until the other person who was not it got tagged. I was thinking about how I would juke the taggers when suddenly my friend Jad sprinted at my direction and tried to tag me! I realized that I had won the round of tag again! I was so happy!
